On November 7, 2024, students of the “Law” program (specialty 081 “Law”) participated in an English-language online lecture titled “War Crimes in International Relations.” The esteemed guest speaker was Professor Ulviyye Sanili Aydin, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Business at Dokuz Eylul University (Turkey), where she serves in the Department of International Trade and Business.
In her presentation, Professor Aydin explored complex issues surrounding the classification of war crimes, mechanisms of international criminal accountability, and the contemporary challenges faced within the field of international humanitarian law. Conducted in English, the lecture provided attendees with valuable experience in international communication and discourse.
The event drew a wide audience, including both students and faculty members, who engaged actively in the discussion and posed insightful questions to the speaker.
This lecture significantly enhanced the participants’ knowledge of pressing issues in international law and fostered collaboration with leading experts in the field.
