On December 6, 2024, PhD in Law (Specialization 081 “Law”), Senior Lecturer, and Deputy Head of the Department of Administrative, Civil, Procedural, and Financial-Economic Law (ACPFEL) of the Academic and Research Institute of Law, Yevheniia Volodymyrivna Mykhailovska, conducted a legal training session for students of the Municipal Institution Sumy Secondary School No. 5, Sumy, Sumy Region.
During the session, the following critical issues were addressed:
- Fundamental rights of citizens when interacting with law enforcement officers.
- Behavioral guidelines in cases of detention or searches.
- Mechanisms for appealing unlawful actions by the police.
- Methods for protecting one’s rights during administrative procedures.
Special attention was given to practical advice for students, including how to act in extraordinary situations, effectively communicate with police officers, and understand the rights guaranteed by Ukrainian law.
The goal of the event was to enhance the legal literacy of young people, foster their legal culture, and promote awareness of the importance of adhering to laws and maintaining public order.
It is worth noting the creative and original approach of the students in analyzing practical legal situations. Gratitude is extended to the school administration and teaching staff for their effective cooperation in promoting legal education and fostering the development of the younger generation.
