On December 3, 2024, as part of the academic course “Civil Safety,” the Academic and Research Institute of Law hosted a lecture conducted by Dr. Yaroslava Khyzhnia, a Candidate of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Academic and Research Medical Institute.
Lecture Topic: Providing pre-medical first aid in cases of accidents.
The lecture was attended by first-year students of the Law Institute and was facilitated by Dr. Oleksandr Ilchenko, a Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor.
During the session, Dr. Khyzhnia covered the fundamental principles of administering pre-medical first aid, emphasizing that the outcome of an accident often depends on the speed and competence of first responders. The students acquired practical skills in performing artificial respiration and external cardiac massage, safely using a defibrillator, stopping bleeding, and correctly applying tourniquets. They also had the opportunity to practice artificial respiration and external cardiac massage using a specialized mannequin.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Yaroslava Khyzhnia for delivering such an engaging, informative, and practice-oriented session. We look forward to further collaboration!
