On February 22, 2026, the Department of Administrative, Commercial Law and Financial and Economic Security held a career guidance event entitled “Protection of Children’s Rights in Ukraine.”
Students of general secondary education institutions were invited to participate in the event. They had the opportunity to learn about the specifics of the legal profession, the main areas of the Department’s activity, and current issues related to the protection of children’s rights in modern conditions.
The Head of the Department, Oleksandr Ilchenko, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of developing legal culture among young people, the role of a lawyer in ensuring human rights and freedoms, and the significance of specialization in administrative and commercial law as well as financial and economic security.
Serhii Novikov, an attorney-at-law, also joined the event. He shared his practical experience in protecting children’s rights, outlined the mechanisms for the implementation and restoration of violated rights, and answered students’ questions regarding career prospects in the legal field.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue, which contributed to active discussion of current legal issues and increased students’ interest in obtaining a legal education.
