On May 16, 2025, the academic staff and students of the Department of Administrative, Commercial Law and Financial and Economic Security joined the university-wide celebration of Vyshyvanka Day — a holiday that symbolizes national unity, historical memory, and cultural identity.
On this day, the classrooms of the Educational and Research Institute of Law at Sumy State University were filled with the vibrant colors of traditional Ukrainian embroidery, ethnic symbols, and an atmosphere of mutual respect and solidarity. Participants did more than simply wear embroidered shirts — they demonstrated their respect for the roots that nourish national legal consciousness.
The department’s faculty emphasized that legal education in administrative, commercial, and financial law must be grounded not only in professional excellence, but also in the ideals of patriotism, civic responsibility, and the protection of public interest. These fields of law play a key role in shaping the legal infrastructure of the state, ensuring economic stability, and building public trust.
We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this celebration. We firmly believe that patriotism begins with simple yet meaningful actions — like wearing a vyshyvanka, honoring tradition, and remembering who we are and why we have chosen the path of serving the law.
