DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE LAW OF THE INSTITUTE OF LAW

In 2025, students and faculty members of Sumy State University became participants in the international educational initiative COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) titled “Beyond Borders”, which brings together participants from Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, and Ukraine.

The project aims to establish a platform for intercultural academic dialogue, enabling students from diverse cultural, national, and academic backgrounds to collaborate in virtual teams. Their joint work is carried out using modern digital tools and focuses on the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, ethical decision-making, effective communication, global awareness, and teamwork in an intercultural online environment.

The “Beyond Borders” program fosters not only academic growth but also the broadening of students’ perspectives, deepens their understanding of intercultural diversity, and helps build competencies necessary for professional success in a globalized world.

From the Department of Administrative, Economic Law and Financial-Economic Security, the project is represented by Associate Professor Oleksandr Ilchenko and Senior Lecturer Nadiia Horobets, who provide methodological support to students and facilitate effective collaboration among participants from different countries.

Participation in such initiatives is a significant step toward integrating Ukrainian higher education into the international academic community, enhancing the competencies of future professionals, and promoting best practices of Ukrainian universities on the global stage.
