On 23 November 2022, at the Academic and Reasearch Institute of Law, within the framework of the study of the academic discipline “Criminal Procedure Law”, employees of the State Institution “Probation Center” in the Sumy region – the head of the “Probation Center”, Colonel of the Internal Service Mykola Fedorovych Hrychkovskii and senior Internal Service Major Inspector Ihor Viktorovych Lupiyov.
Lesson topic: Powers of the probation authority. Compilation of a pre-trial report by the authorized body on probation. The lecture was attended by students of the third year of the “Law” specialty. Oleksandr Vasyliovych Ilchenko, associate professor of science of jurisprudence.
During the lecture, the head of the Probation Center, Mykola Fedorovych Hrychkovskii, spoke about the principles, tasks and content of probation, the grounds for using probation, and the legal status of probation subjects. Mykola Fedorovych paid special attention to the practical activities of the probation body, namely the judicial activity, the preparation of the pre-trial report by the probation body about the applicant at the request of the court, the activities of probation volunteers and the response of probation bodies to violations of the conditions of the execution of sentences by the convicted.
At the end of the lecture, a discussion took place, in which the participants of the lecture took an active part.
