The legal training “Know your rights” was held with students of grades 9-11 of schools in the city of Sumy and the Sumy region by the career guidance work plan of the Department of Administrative, Economic Law and Financial and Economic Security, Educational and Scientific Institute of Law, Sumy State University on December 12, 2022.
The legal educational event was held within the framework of the international week of law, in an offline format at the CU of the Sumy comprehensive school of grades I-III degrees No.12 named after B. Berestovskyi, Sumy.
Doctor of Philosophy in speciality 081 “Law”, assistant, deputy head of the department of administrative, economic law and financial and economic security, Educational and Scientific Institute of Law, Sumy State University – Yevgenia Volodymyrivna Mykhaylovska, discussed with the students such important issues as “children’s rights “, “rules of behavior of minors with police officers” and “how important it is to know your rights in order to avoid offences in various situations”.
The second part of the legal training was practical, where the meeting participants could consolidate the acquired knowledge. In particular, the legal and educational game “Justice” was held, which allowed students to reveal their own understanding of the concept of “justice” and realize the value of the rights, duties and legitimate interests of people and children as a whole.
We wanted to thank the teacher of the law of Sumy General Education School of I-III degrees No.12 named after B. Berestovskyi, Sumy, Prykhodko Nataliya Hryhoriivna for fruitful cooperation in the direction of legal education of children and youth education, and to mark the creativity and original approach to the analysis of practical situations in the field of law, students of the 9th grade.
